This is our 2017 Plus500 Review. In short:
Please notice that trading CFDs puts your capital at risk.
Plus500 are one of the largest and most user-friendly CFD and forex brokers online. This guide is a tool to help traders not yet familiar with the international online platform for Contracts For Difference (CFDs) in stocks, commodities, indices, foreign currencies, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs); Plus500’s website and operations; and how to use the different services available through Plus 500. Plus, of course, securing a good start with Plus500 by informing you about the Plus500 bonus code (2016).
Our Plus500 review should begin with a introduction of the brand. Plus500 is a CFD service broker founded in Israel by six friends in 2008, and launched in 2008. The idea was born when one of the founders, Alon Gonen, tried to “short” Microsoft shares from the largest broker at the time, IG Group. The registration process on IG seemed too complicated and unfriendly to the user, and the future founders of Plus500 decided that they would try to do a better job than the existing platforms, and so started working on Plus500. In 2014, Plus500 had about 1 million clients, and conduct more than 2 million transactions a month. Plus500 Ltd. is listed on the AIM section of the London Stock Exchange.

Plus500 operates under registration from an FCA license and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 509909). The international version of Plus500, Plus500CY Ltd, is authorised and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (Licence No. 250/14). Plus500AU Pty Ltd AFSL #417727 issued by Australian Securities and Investments Commission. You do not own or have any rights to the underlying assets. Please consider the Disclosure documents available on the Plus500 websites.
Currently, Plus500 offers a broad range of investment possibilities within the main markets: shares, commodities, indices, forex, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). If you are not into, for example, single stocks, you can invest further in indices such as the British FSTE, the German DAX, the DOW Jones, or whatever you choose. The advantage of an index is of course that you don’t have to be an expert within a single stock, but can invest in a range of different companies at the same time.
For new investors it can be a great idea to see Wikipedias page about Foreign Exchange markets.
Since more and more people are using their mobile devices, smartphones or tablets when they invest, it is important that your broker offers a mobile solution. Plus500 offer a mobile solution so that you can invest when you are up for it, and when the markets are good. Sometimes you may have the right strategy but are too busy to sit at home and invest; then you can use the Plus500 mobile device solution in order to invest at the right time. In the first quarter of 2013, 40% of all Plus500 transactions were made via a smartphone or a tablet.
Plus500 probably could not believe their luck when they became the main sponsor on Athletic de Madrid. Since then Athletic de Madrid has established themselves as one of the top clubs in Spain and in the Champions League. Even though the sponsorship deal probably has paid off in publicity no doubt that the deal cost the online trading company millions of €.
So the result is that it today is possible to see the logo from Plus500 trading on the chest of Fernando Torres, Antoine Griezmann and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
From April 2017, Plus 500 has decided to follow the directions of regulator CySEC and has halted all bonus promotions. In the future, Plus500 will compete on low spreads and no commission instead.
We welcome the initiative and are looking forward to seeing how the top CFD and spread betting brands will take on the small and more risk-promoting initiatives in the future.
It is our evaluation of Plus500 that it is a great forex or stock or commodities CFD broker. The usability is great and it is very easy to get around on the website.
What are less great in our Plus500 review are the spreads. Plus500 charge a little more on the spread than some of the brokers that many of the professionals use such as ETX Capital. It is an ok first forex broker.
Again, please remember please remember not to use more money on a CFD platform than you can afford to lose. For every trading millionaire, there are more than plenty of people for which the CFD experience cost them money.
